Reception have had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year this week. The classroom was transformed with bright, festive decorations to mark the occasion, creating an exciting environment for the children to explore. The class made their own colourful Chinese lanterns, carefully crafting and decorating them as they learned about their significance during the celebrations.

The children also had great fun practising a traditional Chinese dance, moving rhythmically to music and learning simple choreography. To make the experience even more special, they dressed in traditional Chinese clothing, which helped bring the festival to life within the classroom.

It was a joyful and engaging celebration, giving the children a meaningful introduction to Chinese culture and traditions.
