Year 6 have enjoyed a wonderful week of activities as they celebrated Storytelling Week in school. The children embraced every opportunity to explore stories in new and meaningful ways, demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for reading and sharing books.

Throughout the week, pupils took part in a range of activities inspired by their favourite stories. They reflected on the books that mean the most to them, discussed characters and themes, and shared recommendations with their friends. Their passion for reading shone through in every task.

A highlight of the week was welcoming a number of special visitors, who kindly came in to read to the class. The children loved hearing different voices and storytelling styles, and these sessions sparked lively discussions and plenty of excitement.

Year 6 also spent time visiting their buddies in The Hive, where they shared some of their much‑loved books. It was wonderful to see the older pupils reading with confidence and kindness, helping to nurture a love of books among the younger children.

The week was filled with creativity, imagination and joyful celebration of stories. Well done to Year 6 for their enthusiasm, engagement and brilliant attitude throughout Storytelling Week.
