Year 5 took part in an Escape to Safety lesson, delivered by the local fire brigade. The team arrived in a large fire engine, which immediately sparked curiosity and excitement among the pupils.
During the session, children learned essential fire safety tips and explored how to respond in an emergency. One of the most memorable experiences was stepping inside the smoke tent—a realistic simulation that helped pupils understand the importance of staying calm and making safe choices during a fire.
The visit was both educational and engaging, leaving pupils with valuable knowledge and a deeper appreciation for the vital work of our fire and rescue services.
