Year 5 had an action-packed day at Safety Central, taking part in a series of exciting and important learning sessions focused on keeping themselves and others safe.

Throughout the day, the children explored a wide range of topics including fire safety, water safety, electrical safety, kitchen and home safety, safety near train lines, healthy eating, and understanding antisocial behaviour. Each session was hands-on and engaging, helping the children to think carefully about how to stay safe in different situations.

To test their knowledge, the whole class took a quiz at the start and again at the end of the day. The result? A perfect score! Year 5 achieved an incredible 100% as a class — a brilliant reflection of their focus and enthusiasm.

Even more impressively, our school was the last to visit Safety Central this school year, and the rangers were absolutely wowed by how well the children did. What a fantastic way to end the term!

Well done, Year 5 — you’ve made us all very proud!
