Year 5 Enjoy Successful Transition Visit to Sir Thomas Boteler

This week, Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic visit to Sir Thomas Boteler as part of their transition to secondary school. After a long walk to the school, the children were warmly welcomed by the Year 9 ambassadors, including several former Bradshaw pupils, who provided excellent support and encouragement throughout the day.
The children engaged enthusiastically in all of their lessons and were polite, respectful and impeccably behaved from start to finish. They particularly enjoyed the taster sessions in English, Mathematics and Science. In Science, the children investigated the effects of chromatography, developing their understanding through practical experimentation. During Drama, they worked collaboratively using the freeze-frame technique to create and represent a variety of objects and scenarios, demonstrating creativity and teamwork.
The visit provided a valuable insight into life at secondary school and helped to build the children’s confidence as they prepare for this important next step in their education.
The staff were incredibly proud of the way the children represented Bradshaw throughout the day. They were excellent ambassadors for the school and should be congratulated on their outstanding behaviour, enthusiasm and maturity.
