Spotting Signs of Spring in Year 1

Year 1 have been embracing the changing seasons this week as part of their geography learning. After discussing the different types of weather associated with each of the four seasons, the children put their knowledge into action by heading outdoors to search for signs of the current season.
As they explored the school grounds, the children were delighted to discover many clues that spring has arrived. They spotted colourful flowers beginning to bloom, delicate blossom on the trees, fresh green leaves, and even some early visitors—fluttering butterflies and bright ladybirds.
These wonderful observations helped the children conclude that spring is well and truly here. Their excitement and curiosity made for a fantastic learning experience, and the class are looking forward to observing how the world around them continues to change throughout the season.
