This week, Mrs Knowles met with the school’s fantastic Eco Warriors, and there was plenty of excitement as they opened a very special Picker Packer surprise. The school is delighted to announce that it is now officially a Picker Packer School.

As part of this exciting new initiative, two Eco Warriors each week will take home litter pickers, gloves and high-visibility vests to help collect litter and care for the local community. This scheme gives children the opportunity to take real action, develop a sense of responsibility and make a positive difference beyond the school gates.

From next half term, the initiative will be extended further with the introduction of a Picker Packer Class. Children in the selected class will take turns bringing the equipment home, helping to keep their local area clean while learning more about the importance of protecting the environment.

The school is incredibly proud of its Eco Warriors for leading the way and showing how small actions can make a big difference. Together, everyone is learning how to care for the community and look after the planet
