This week, Year 6 had a truly memorable experience as they welcomed a special visit from Warrington Sub Aqua Club, bringing their learning around the book Manfish to life. The children have been studying the story of Jacques Cousteau, the famous ocean explorer, and the visit was a perfect way to round off their topic.

During the session, the children were fascinated to learn more about scuba diving and the underwater world. Volunteers from the club shared their expertise, stories, and equipment, helping the pupils to understand what it's like to explore beneath the waves. One of the highlights of the visit was the chance to try out real scuba diving breathing apparatus – an exciting opportunity that had everyone talking!

The session not only deepened their understanding of the book, but also sparked plenty of curiosity and discussion around ocean conservation, diving safety and the importance of protecting our planet’s waters. A huge thank you to Warrington Sub Aqua Club for such an inspiring and informative visit!
