Year 1 have been busy exploring a variety of fun and engaging activities. One of their highlights has been learning about different types of lines. From straight and curved to zig-zag and wavy lines, the children have been using chalk to create their own line art on the playground. It’s a hands-on way to discover the world of shapes and patterns, and the students have loved experimenting with their creations!

Year 1 have also continued their fascinating journey into history by visiting Warrington Library and learning about Florence Nightingale, the pioneering nurse who changed healthcare forever. The children got into the spirit of the lesson by role-playing as nurses in a hospital. They had a fantastic time making beds with blankets and even practicing their bandaging skills – with plenty of laughter and fun along the way!

In addition to their history and math lessons, the children have been busy making models and solving puzzles. These creative activities have allowed them to develop their problem-solving skills and work together as a team.
